From neighbourhoods to coworking hubs, Alabaster Homes is more than a developer, it’s a builder of connection. Each property reflects homes and workspaces crafted with heart, purpose, and a deep respect for the people who inhabit them. At the helm of this vision is Clare Linton, Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Operations, whose focus reaches beyond structures into the communities they nurture.
Today, we dive into the story behind Alabaster and its sister brand Pavilion Cowork: how meaningful growth happens when values meet systems, and how technology can become a quiet partner in delivering spaces where life and work feel intentional and supported.

Crafting Homes, Cultivating Community
At Alabaster Homes, the spaces are beautiful but what sets them apart is the heart behind them. Known across Vancouver for their townhomes, purpose-built rentals, and mixed-use communities, Alabaster blends design, construction, and a clear sense of purpose into every development. Their work goes far beyond bricks and blueprints. For Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Operations Clare Linton, it’s about cultivating connection.
"Our purpose is to build community," Clare shares. "That could be through design, through partnerships, or just how we show up for the people around us." Along with a team of passionate professionals, Clare helps steer Alabaster’s growth while maintaining the values that first put the company on the map: intention, transparency, and service.

CLARE LINTON
VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING &
CORPORATE OPERATIONS
That philosophy extends into Pavilion Cowork, their elevated coworking brand serving Vancouver’s creative and professional community. While the audiences may differ, the guiding principles remain the same — create environments where people feel supported, inspired, and able to grow. With multiple locations open and more on the way, Pavilion represents the same ethos.
With in-house teams spanning design, development, and construction, Alabaster takes full ownership of its projects from concept to completion. That coordination ensures quality, clear communication, and a deep sense of care in every detail. Under Clare’s direction, marketing and operations stay closely tied to what’s happening on the ground — helping the brand stay rooted in both craft and community as it scales.
Turning Structure into Strategy
For them, growth means staying intentional. Not only in the spaces they create, but in the systems behind the scenes. As the team’s responsibilities grew, so did the need for reliable infrastructure to match their pace and standards.
Before partnering with TAVANCA, Alabaster didn’t have a consistent tech process. Onboarding new hires felt disorganized, cybersecurity gaps went unnoticed, and support was mostly ad hoc. Clare explained: “We previously had no consistent tech partner. If there was an issue, we kind of dealt with it internally or one-off.”
After a collaborative discovery phase with TAVANCA’s team, Alabaster rolled out structured systems for onboarding, device management, and cybersecurity — giving Clare and her team clarity, efficiency, and control. They now have a clear plan outlining which elements to prioritize each quarter, allowing the team to operate with far more structure and predictability.
“What has proven that it's been a good investment is the de-risking. We have a systemized organization in our tech stack, so we know where all the information is. It's saving our team time... and risk on the cybersecurity side.”
Designed for What's Next
Alabaster and Pavilion are stepping into a season of meaningful growth. With several new residential and mixed-use developments underway and Pavilion Cowork preparing to open its first Calgary location, the expansion is purposeful. “We’re applying everything we’ve learned to create even better experiences in a way that still feels personal” Clare mentioned.
This purpose-driven expansion is more than business growth, it’s a continuation of a deeper vision. That’s why “Alabaster” was chosen for its symbolism: a vessel for what’s most cherished. Whether it’s a family home or a creative workspace, every detail is designed to hold something valuable. As the company evolves, that principle remains unchanged — to shape spaces where people feel grounded, connected, and truly at home.
